This uniquely shaped vintage armoire demanded a uniquely creative finish. After much thought, I decided to create a rustic distressed three color pallet finish as a backdrop to an adorable back view of a little girl with long braids holding a kitty. The sides have faded washed huge sunflowers. I wanted the piece to stand out by playing the light against the dark, but unlike one of my canvas art pieces, I wanted it to look old, faded, and with rustic charm. I would like to think that this piece could have many places to live in one's home including a kitchen keeping toom, sunroom, mudroom, a shabby chic room filled with white, grays and hints of blue, and of course a little girl's room. How about in a delightful she shed?
